DESCRIPTION:Radio Veloso with DJ Vinnie Esparza spinning funk-soul-jazz-reggae Music at 10PM / $5 Cover \nRADIO VELOSO is a San Francisco quartet that plays instrumental modern groove music on drums\, bass\, guitar\, and trumpet. The band combines elements of funk\, cinematic soul\, jazz\, and psychedelic rock to make poolside groove music. The band formed in 2017 and has released three all-original EPs. A 4th EP is forthcoming. \nRADIO VELOSO has shared the stage with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe\, Mike Dillon Band\, Lucky Chops\, No B.S. Brass Band\, and many others. The band has held monthly residencies at Madrone Art Bar and Off The Grid at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. DESCRIPTION:Kyle Hernandez musically drives. Permeates. The guitarist\, vocalist\, and composer is a multi-talented musical force whose fiery delivery and distinctive sound carry his music into a space all his own. With influences from funk\, soul\, Blues\, R&B\, and music from the great american songbook\, Kyle’s trio will be playing selections of music that draws from all of the above with an emphasis on groovy tunes to surely keep you dancing the night away! 6:30-8:30pm No Cover \nKyle moved to New York in 2006 after being awarded a scholarship to attend The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Manhattan. Since finishing school\, Kyle has shared the stage with a vast array of talented musicians and groups internationally including; Wynton Marsalis\, Roy Hargrove\, Eric Alexander\, Robert Glasper and many others. As a Leader\, Kyle has released three albums\, including his most recent self-titled release. Jazz festivals and venues all throughout the United States including; The Reno\, Savannah\, Newport\, Sacramento\, Toronto\, Boston and Montreal Jazz Festivals have hosted Kyle’s quartet. Notable venues including The Mondavi Center\, The Blue Note\, The Great American Music Hall\, Rockwood Music Hall\, Sullivan Hall and The Jazz Standard have hosted Kyle’s groups.
