DESCRIPTION:Closing party: Thursday\, January 29th 6pm—8pm \n25 spots for Participating Artists: Silvi Alcivar\, Nicole Andrijauskas\, Kundan Baidwan\, Anita Beshirs\, Ron Campbell\, Jon Carr\, Rena Cheng\, Manny Fabregas\, Tim Genda\, The Grippos\, Tabitha Lahr\, Moonji L.\, Bianca Levan\, Jennifer Lu\, Mackenzie Kirk\, Alice Koswara\, Kaeli McLeod\, Matt McGrath\, Owen Miller\, Patrick Poelvoorde\, Maureen Shields\, Misstencil\, Ron Richardson\, Courtney Root\, Laine Wiesemann \nThe typical Advent Calendar is used to count down the days of Advent before Christmas. The word “Advent” means the arrival of something\, usually referring to the arrival of Jesus. For this art show\, the Advent\ncomes in the shape of art. \nWe have prepared our main wall with 25 dispersed and delineated squares of various sizes. Each square/rectangle will represent the windows\, doors\, or pockets of a typical Advent calendar. \nThere are 25 participating artists; each artist was randomly given a number between 1 and 25. Number 1 will hang their work on December 1st. Number 2 will hang their work on December 2nd\, and each day we will hang one work\, with a culmination on December 23rd\, where we will hang 23\, 24\, and 25. The work will stay hung and appreciated in entirety until January 30th. \n
