"Since releasing the album " Shiftin' " in 2008, Tristan Norton, has
been joined by a group of fabulous Bay Area and New Orleans-hailing
musicians. Playing Norton's original JazzFunk and "Psycho-Soul" music.

Tristan Norton has now codified his original music to a quartet
consisting of guitar, bass, drums, and saxophone. The "Funk4Tet" is
made up of fabulous Bay Area and New Orleans-hailing musicians: the
sharp, driving drum work of New Orleans funk drummer, Michael Jones
(MJ's Brass Boppers, Jon B), the funk and hiphop influenced bass
playing of San Francisco-born Raoul Aguilara, and the modern jazz and
world music stylings of French-born tenor saxophonist, Paul Bertin
(Inspector Gadje, Justin Ancheta Band), as well as Norton's acid-jazz
and post-funk inflected guitar work.
The Funk4Tet is a highly danceable jazzfunk powerhouse that performs
original music as well as re-interpretations of popular R&B and Soul
standards. “The Funk4Tet explores the far reaches of melodic rhythm
and metric harmony."

Blades, a native Chicagoan, has become the San Francisco Bay Area's first call organist and is rapidly gaining momentum throughout the country. In 2007 and 2008, he was named in the Downbeat Critics’ Poll under "Rising Star" for organ. For the past several years, Wil has been wowing Bay Area audiences with groups such as O.G.D., Motherbug, Amendola Vs. Blades, and Madrone regulars Steppin'. In addition to performing with legendary artists such as John Lee Hooker and Dr. Lonnie Smith, Wil has performed and recorded with Melvin Sparks, Idris Muhammad, Joe Louis Walker, Don Braden, Donald Harrison, Karl Denson, Will Bernard, Scott Amendola, Charlie Hunter, Stanton Moore, Betty Joplin, Eddie Marshall, Herbie Lewis, and many others.

Garrin Benfield's sound has been described as Freestyle Acoustic Rock. His music is a blend of moody, guitar driven rock and polyrhythmic groove all run through the filter of a very serious Singer/Songwriter. His talent shines through as a solo artist when he flat-picks his way through complicated and lightning-fast arrangements and also while he uses a Loop Station to create mesmerizing soundscapes upon which he lays blistering rock, blues and jazz licks, darkened by his extensive use of effect pedals.

"Oh Sh**!!", and it's a 4-piece band playing a very tight set of 90's hip hop. The set moves quickly, DJ-style, through some classics designed to make people go "Oh shit!
