With a powerful, stripped-down featuring piano and an assortment of unique percussion – including washboard, spoons, hand drum, suitcase and more – the Shakers bring to life old-school, steady-rolling tunes from the deep musical traditions of places like St. Louis, Texas, Chicago and New Orleans. Vintage, foot-stomping American roots music designed for good times. Let’s get down!

Sugar Release Party

A special screening of Psychedelic Hip Hop artist James Wavey’s debut music video “Sugar”, produced & directed by Deb Leal. Enjoy drink specials designed by Shirley Brooks of Bottom of the Barrel during sets of soul & boogie by DJs Vinyl Richie and Bryson Wallace. Performances by James Wavey, Small Crimes, and Miguel Felpzo. An optional sliding scale donation at the door with a raffle of prizes to benefit non-profit Mujeres Unidas y Activas and local artists. Doors 9pm, Screening 10pm. 21+ with valid ID.
