Madrone Art Bar presents…

FART MARKET: An Art Flea Market

Where art gets drafted into a new home.

FART MARKET is a two-month, community-driven exhibition inviting people to contribute artwork they’re ready to let go of. Throughout the exhibition, donated pieces will accumulate on the bar walls and then be rehomed during a Claim Draft Night—a playful, sports draft-style experience.

Think of it as a second chance for art that never quite made the starting lineup.

We all have pieces we bought or found years ago that never quite made it onto the wall—it’s time to let them go. We’re also welcoming working artists to donate older pieces they’ve finished storing, selling, or hanging onto. No pricing, no pressure—just a chance for art to be seen, appreciated, and chosen.

By donating, you’re helping create a constantly evolving exhibition—and giving someone else the joy of discovering a piece they didn’t know they were looking for.

Why Donate?

  • Clear space in your home without throwing art away
  • Watch your piece live on the wall before it’s drafted
  • Be part of a communal, slightly competitive, very fun experiment
  • Zero selling, zero transactions—just rehoming

How to Donate:

We’re accepting art donations from February 1st to April 8th.

Art can be dropped off at the bar daily between 1-6pm. (Note, your art does not need to be framed!)
Sign up here to donate art!

Accepts:
2D artwork + small sculptural, craft, or textile pieces

Does not accept:
Furniture, clothing, electronics, household items, or oversized work

Please note: All submissions are final donations. Artwork will not be returned and will be claimed for free by others.

Community Art Draft Night

Art meets fantasy-football energy.

Whether you donate artwork or not, we hope you’ll join us for The Community Art Draft event on April 9th at 6pm.

The Fart Market artwork will be claimed off the walls in draft-style rounds, with attendees getting 60 seconds to select their favorite pieces—just like a fantasy draft, but with art instead of athletes.

Watch, cheer, strategize, or draft your own future wall favorite. Hope to see you there!
