Dan Dion is a photographer specializing in the performing arts. He was the house photographer for the Fillmore and Warfield for twenty years, and continues as the house photographer for the Paramount Theater, Punch Line Comedy Club, and Cobb’s Comedy Club. He has published three books, including ¡SATIRISTAS! with Paul Provenza, and Tuesday Tucks Me In, selected by Amazon as The Best Children’s Non-Fiction book of 2016. This is his third exhibition at Madrone Art Bar.

Electro vibes, thumping and dance floor charging… The Crooked Stuff is a cross-pollinated hybrid of electronic rock, heavy soul and sub-bumping beats. With doses of DNA from The Doors, Devo, Daft Punk, The Headhunters, INXS and an array of psychedelic synth punk experiences – the band’s music was born at a twisted intersection between the modern electronic and deep classic worlds.

Having shared the stage with Tank & The Bangas, Fishbone, The Nth Power, Lyrics Born, Dumpstaphunk, Monophonics, Turn Me On Dead Man and Papa Mali… the San Francisco keys + bass + beats + vox 4-piece is honed, fully operational and on the rise into deeper space.
